ABSTRACT
Airborne Express was founded in 1946 as Airborne Flower Traffic Association of California. Its original purpose was to transport fresh flowers from Hawaii to the United States mainland. The company has been publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange since 1975. For more than fifty years Airborne Express has served the shipping needs of business customers around the world. It is the third largest and fastest-growing air express delivery carrier in the United States. Airborne also serves as a freight forwarder in international markets.
