ABSTRACT

25 Army’s original plan for the landing at Kota Bharu envisaged the start of operations as midnight on 7/8 December. In its view, the success or failure of all the operations in the Southern Regions depended on the success of the Malaya landings, and to ensure their success the Army wanted to start disembarking halfway through the night of 7/8 December, and to have completed the operation by dawn on the 8th.
