ABSTRACT
It is important for all libraries to provide at least basic training in mold recognition and disaster planning. Both are basic proactive measures that are necessary even should they not be needed to handle a real event or incident. Being prepared will ensure that libraries avoid unnecessary loss or damage of serials, saving resources and perhaps even preventing unnecessary injury or loss of life.
