ABSTRACT

Dr. Robert Hosmon’s wine columns are purchased and used by as many as 1,000 daily and weekly newspapers, other publications, and radio stations each week through the McClatchyTribune News Service. Hosmon, a professor at the University of Miami, has written about food, restaurants, and wines sold in the United States for more than three decades. Currently his wine column is based at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. He is a senior editor for The Wine News as well and often contributes as a freelance writer to other magazines and World Wide Web sites. It’s a lucrative and challenging freelance lifestyle that many writers both admire and envy.
