ABSTRACT
Speculating on the future can be viewed as something of a fool’s game. And it is therefore not something in which we plan to indulge. However, there is merit in considering emerging drivers of collaborative working, directions of travel and potential areas for development based on our consideration and exploration of current practice. In this concluding chapter we discuss several features of the sectoral landscape that are increasingly affecting our patterns of collaborative working: globalization, inclusivity, emerging technologies, and new and developing disciplines.
