ABSTRACT

ALL the time Sarah was in Cairo, she was ill and unhappy and longing for Palestine. In spite of her busy days, the time dragged intolerably. Large quantities of gold had begun to arrive for the refugees from Jaffa, and she was eager to deliver it. Nor could she be easy until Yosef was safely out of Egypt. The tensions which had developed between Aaron and Lishansky and between Lishansky and Liova spelled danger for the work.
