Upon this foot it is that to this Day our Law suff ers not a Foreigner to Purchase any of the Freeholds of England: For if a Foreigner might Purchase, your Neighbours (having Money to spare) might come and buy you out of your own Country, and take Possession by a legal and indisputable Right.
