ABSTRACT

Pain is often the reason that makes us ponder the deep meaning of life. It propels us toward this difficult quest until we discover the answer. But for a person to live in the presence of prosperity and comfort while determining to find the answer to this perplexing question, one has to be destined for this task. And this was the life of Gautama, the man who, although born into wealth and royalty, abandoned all in the quest for the solution to the question of suffering. Why suffering and what is the path that leads to the cessation of suffering?
