Tycoon Donald Trump has probably become best known for “You’re fired,” the statement made at the end of every episode of “The Apprentice,” a popular television show featuring a diverse group of entrepreneurs and professionals vying for a coveted position in the Trump organization. But Trump is also known in the business world for doing his homework. “When I started out in business,” Trump says, “I spent a great deal of time researching every detail that might be pertinent to the deal I was interested in making. I still do the same today. People often comment on how quickly I operate, but the reason I can move quickly is that I’ve done the background work first.”
