ABSTRACT
This section will bring the AS year to a close by both reflecting on some of the experiences we have had so far and looking forward to the A2 year and Units 3 and 4. Part of the approach to looking forward that your teacher may take with you is to do some planning and preparation for the A2 year in the final half term of the AS year. This is seen as good practice, and it may be that it will give you confidence to look ahead to the new year with the knowledge that the challenges ahead will engage you in creating approaches to performance which are fitting for this level of study. There is no doubt that the A2 year will stretch your understanding of how drama and theatre works, but, perhaps more importantly, it will test your developmental skills as a deviser and as a director.
