Types, forms and styles

The different ‘text types’ can take different forms. By ‘form’ I mean what the finished piece of writing will look like. So a letter, an article, an essay, a diary extract, a table or chart, a poster, a comic-book layout, a display board, even a poem or a story all count as forms that help to make what you want to say more interesting and powerful.
