Resulting trusts, constructive trusts, proprietary estoppel and licences

A declaration of trust of land should be evidenced in writing (s 53(1)(b) of the LPA 1925). However, it is possible to acquire an interest in land without any formalities by way of resulting or constructive trusts (s 53(2)) or by way of proprietary estoppel.
