ABSTRACT

The present chapter will let us explore the idiosyncrasy of Mexican employees belonging to three different occupational groups: blue-collar workers, nurses and businesspeople. The compilation of results and concluding thoughts will offer us a more precise idea about the meaning of career success and the nature of career transitions among Mexican individuals. International managers working in Mexico or those planning to start running operations in this country may take these outcomes as a reference for their own multinational companies. While just three kinds of occupations were investigated, this study may be taken as a first insight to better understand the way of thinking of Mexican individuals within the working context.
