ABSTRACT

Finding an ideal size Truly speaking every story has its ideal size. In other words a story takes as long as it

takes. Some stories ‘naturally’ take a page or two to tell and if they were made

longer they’d feel thin or would appear padded. On the other hand to compress a

story that really needs to be longer means leaving out necessary detail and rushing

through events just to make it fit. The pace and balance of a well-written story take

precedence over an artificially imposed length.
