ABSTRACT
Making work public Essentially the meaning of ‘publish’ is ‘to make public’ and that’s the rationale I use as I encourage pupils to be neat and accurate in their work. A person’s writing represents them to the world. The way it looks as much as what it says creates an impression – and while it is true that one should never judge a book by its cover, an author is inevitably judged by her writing.
