ABSTRACT
This chapter describes what we believe to be the best possible policy to prevent physical aggression and violent crime. To begin with, some basic facts about physical aggression are presented. These facts offer a framework for preventive policies and help us to understand the results of the preventive interventions that are presented. Subsequently, a series of policy options are reviewed, and these various options are discussed in terms of the experimental evidence supporting them.
