ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter, 'Theoretical considerations', we focused on the human being as a unit of analysis and proposed that satisfying the two sets of human needs, the key to reduction of ethnic conflict, requires structural change. We also proposed that the long evolving structural change is propelled by complementary centrifugal and centripetal forces, themselves anchored in the human organism. In this chapter, 'Policy recommendations', we shall propose institutional arrangements that might assist the ongoing trend.
