ABSTRACT

Interpersonal communication can be defined in many different ways. According to Adler, Rosenfeld, and Proctor (2004), interpersonal communication refers to “any interaction between two people” (p. 14). Verderber and Verderber (2004) defined interpersonal communication as “the process through which people create and manage their relationships, exercising mutual responsibility in creating meaning” (p. 3). For Trenholm and Jensen (2000), interpersonal communication is “communication between two people, generally in face-to-face interaction” (p. 24).
