ABSTRACT

Christianity is neither a scientific hypothesis nor an existential stance to ward the world. 1 But until we clarify what it is, we will not know how to proceed with the discussion between Christian theology and science. In particular, we will not yet be in a position to answer questions such as: What does it mean belief to be rational or irrational? Is it rational? How are Christian beliefs like or unlike scientific beliefs? How should we go about drawing implications for Christian theology from the results of natural science?
