ABSTRACT

Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medical practice in the world. When the Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine) was compiled between 500-300 BC, it was a complete work on Chinese medicine, and it is still a useful reference today. The Yellow Emperor, credited with the information in the book, lived in China around 2674 BC. A book compiled so long ago explains the different types of needles and the techniques for their use, information still accurate today.
