ABSTRACT
This section has been designed to provide designers with support in developing the knowledge and day-to-day skills to comply with their CDM duties as designers. The chapter covers the theoretical solutions to common designrelated health and safety problems, the ability for designers to assess their own competence and designer CPD development and, where possible, to see the opportunities to add value to their service and the project as a whole through a commitment to CDM compliance.
