ABSTRACT
The strong performance of the Korean economy over the last four decades has been well publicized. The Korean economy recorded a high growth rate during its industrialization period in the 1960s and 70s. One of the main driving forces behind the phenomenal economic growth in Korea has been its well-educated and high-skilled labor force. In line with this economy growth, Korea has experienced rapid growth in education and training, in terms of both quantity and quality.
