ABSTRACT
Dr. Samson: Our next presenter is Dr. Dixiane Hallaj who earned her PhD from George Mason University in 2006. Entitled, “Caught by Culture and Conflict: Palestinian Refugee Women’s Perceptions of Illiteracy and Education,” it won the 2007 Illinois Distinguished Qualitative Dissertation Award, which Dixiane received at the 3rd International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry.
