ABSTRACT
In order to more fully understand the perspectives from which Abramovic´ works, and thereby increase understanding of her performative choices, this chapter will consider a number of Abramovic´’s fundamental concepts, approaches and concerns, as discussed in a number of key publications and interviews. In addition, there are certain texts that Abramovic´ acknowledges as being particularly influential which will be drawn on to provide additional insight into Abramovic´’s unique vision.
