ABSTRACT

Putting together all the skills and attitudes that we have been talking about is not an easy business. It takes a great deal of concentration, persistence, and hard work. It means constantly reviewing your practice to see how and where you need to develop next. It means staying in touch with your purpose, refining your vision, and allowing your whole being to be involved in the undertaking. In order to start working with groups and to keep your practice going, you must aim to develop a structure which will foster this sort of awareness and generate appropriate strategies for change and learning. Such a structure should rest on four supporting principles:
