ABSTRACT
This note describes an attempt to formulate a temperature guideline for offices which takes into account the Adaptive approach to thermal comfort. The Guideline is provisional, capable of adjustment in the light of further research and through experiences of operating heating and cooling plant in offices. It is expressed as an algorithm which could be used in a computer program to control the set-temperature in a climate controlled building. It is also applicable to naturally ventilated buildings operating in summertime without refrigeration.
