ABSTRACT
Our focus now turns to interdependencies in paid work and care. We touched on some of the issues in earlier chapters (3, 4 and 5) but, given the prominence of paid work in the lives of most adults and households, it merits fuller examination. This chapter explores spatial and temporal perspectives on caring and working and the policies and practices associated with this.
