How Do Teachers Learn to be Effective Classroom Managers?

This chapter is divided into two major sections: The first and most extensive focuses on preservice classroom management education, and the second examines inservice instruction in classroom management. Both sections present not only the attitudes, knowledge, and skills most needed by teachers at various professional development levels, but also the methods teacher educators can implement to assist teachers in developing the attitudes, knowlege, and skills needed to be effective classroom managers.
