ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter the general concepts utilized in AE/MS field monitoring systems have been discussed in considerable detail. Many of these same concepts are also applicable to laboratory monitoring systems and this chapter will therefore concentrate mainly on those additional concepts which apply specifically to such systems. A paper by Mobley et al. (1987) provides a useful review of facilities suitable for AE/MS laboratory studies through the late 1980s.
