ABSTRACT
Chapter Seven presented four climates of competition. This chapter will discuss the dynamics of competition in those climates, where dynamics are expressed partly within the individual climates of competition, and partly in the transition from one climate to another. The durability of the climates of competition and the continuous processes of change in the industry need to be analysed, in order to gain an increased understanding of both the dynamics within each climate of competition and the dynamics that are expressed in the transition between climates. The point of departure for the above is discussed in the first part of this chapter, and the second part presents an analysis of the dynamics of competition in each of the climates of competition. The third part of the chapter deals with long term change in the climates, where one climate transforms into a second climate, and then into a third, and so on. The chapter finishes with a theoretical discussion on the dynamic processes that have been identified in the three studied industries.
