ABSTRACT

Robin Freeman is a poet and musicologist who lives in London and Rome. He found his double vocation at twelve through Les fleurs du mal of Baudelaire and Berg’s Wozzeck to which he was introduced by Stephen Balough, a Hungarian member of Schönberg’s circle. Subsequent studies took him to the University of Chicago, L’Université de Grenoble and the Warburg Institute of the University of London where his supervisor was E.H.Gombrich.
