ABSTRACT

The “tonalization” of the modal skeleton, which also serves to transform any triad with leading-tone root into a diminished seventh or a dominant seventh chord, the generation of the fourth voice and the absolute pitch assignment have been already successfully implemented; they have confirmed that operating with three voices and generating the fourth from a higher (subsequent) level reduces the number of constraints to be considered at lower levels and, more importantly, makes available a wider spectrum of good solutions than otherwise.
