Comedo carcinoma (or comedo-adenoma) of the female breast

In 1908 Bloodgood first described the comedo tumor of the breast and classified it among the adenocarcinomas as ‘adenocarcinoma, comedo’. None of the 12 cases of the pure type had metastasis in the axilla, and there were no deaths from breast cancer. The only positive cure after local recurrence of carcinoma belonged to this group.
