ABSTRACT

The mode of infiltration of these lobular cancers is peculiar and somewhat obscure and often has wide infiltration within the breast. Large numbers of isolated, loose cells of rather uniform size might be readily confused with large mast cells. When they metastasize to nodes, their form and distribution are such that they might be confused with cells of a lymphoma. The in situ lobular carcinoma occurred in multiple lobules and often was associated with invasion in multiple foci.
