ABSTRACT
Most of the IP3 reaches the cell’s stores of calcium on the endoplasmic reticulum via the cytoplasm, so that the calcium can now, as a third messenger, influence numerous cell functions. Examples of hormones working via IP3 and DAG are given in Table 29.3 and their intracellular modes of action are shown in Figure 29.3.
