ABSTRACT
Planning Perhaps the most crucial thing of all is to plan for the case. This is not always easy in the pressured environment of today’s hospitals, and requires considerable determination and commitment to ensure that it occurs. Patients at risk because of IHD need a thorough work-up, the correct operation carried out expeditiously, and proper postoperative care. The importance of clinical management in the first two postoperative days cannot be emphasized enough.
