When a person acquires an interest in real property, the question is often raised as to what precisely is included in the acquisition.
For instance, when a purchaser acquires land on which there is erected a house, is the purchaser: • entitled to the land only?; or • entitled to the house built on the land?; and/or • entitled to any inclusions within the house on the land?
