ABSTRACT
The organs of the EU are the Council, the Commission, the Parliament, and the Court of Justice. The role of the Council is to co-ordinate economic policy, with legislative and financial power. The Commission proposes and drafts legislation, which is submitted to the Council for approval. The Council consults the Parliament before the new legislation is enacted. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) regulates the interpretation and application of the legislation.
