ABSTRACT
Introduction This chapter examines the common law and equitable remedies that may be awarded to a plaintiff who has proved their cause of action. In particular, these remedies are damages and injunctions. Other extrajudicial remedies such as abatement have been dealt with in Chapter 12. This chapter also notes where the civil liability and wrongs legislation has impacted upon the availability of common law compensation.
