ABSTRACT
The Family Law Act (FLA) 1975 sets out the general obligations created by residence, contact and specific issues orders (ss 65M-65P). Each of these bundles of obligations includes provisions prohibiting anyone from interfering with their performance. Where a residence order is in force, the prohibition is against removing the child from the care of a person; where a contact order is in force, it is against preventing contact in accordance with the order.
