ABSTRACT

The Air Services Act 1995 sets up Airservices Australia (AA) which has taken over the role and functions of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The Civil Aviation Legislation Amendment Act 1995 transfers CAA assets, liabilities and staff to the AA after 30 November 1995.382

The Transport Legislation Amendment Act (no 2) 1995 contains amendments to the Air Navigation Act 1920, the Civil Aviation (Carrier’s Liability) Act 1959 and the Crimes (Aviation) Act 1991 concerning air passenger and baggage screening and security measures at airports and on aircraft.383
