ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to explore a pro-active approach to social justice and the rights of indigenous peoples. It asserts that we need to move beyond merely making legal institutions safe and accessible places for Aboriginal and Islander people. It argues that there need to be ways of engaging legal institutions and their communities, including law schools and their students, in the struggle against injustice.
