ABSTRACT
Criminal law may be distinguished from civil law, in that the former encompasses certain kinds of wrongdoing as offences against the State, whilst the latter is concerned with the rights and duties of individuals towards each other. The main constituents of civil law are: • law of contract; • law of torts; • law of property; • law of succession; • family law.
