ABSTRACT
A doctor carried out major elective surgery without the presence of another practitioner to assist with surgical procedures or to administer anaesthetics. No harm occurred to the patients, but his behaviour was found to be misconduct and he was suspended for 12 months. He appealed to the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
