ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some of the useful tools of Excel, namely, Spelling, Auditing and Goal seek. Spelling tool which is found in Menu option in the excel sheet. It is similar to the one used in Word and in fact uses the same dictionary. It checks all text in the spreadsheet except text which is part of a formatted number. Users may faced with one of the error messages, or a result which is clearly wrong when they working in the worksheets. These kinds of problems are relatively easy to find and correct by using the Auditing tool. Excel has the facility to help users do this with the Goal Seek function. This is found under Tools option that is present under Menu. Obviously users can experiment with any of the inputs to achieve the desired result. This process can of course be adapted to any similar situation where they wish to adjust inputs to obtain the required answer.
