On occasions that machinery, or certain steps within that machinery, will be subject to a strict adherence to a timetable. The wording of such a timetable appears to cause the machinery to be ineffective If operated outside the time limits set down in the clause. However, the law seems to reject support for such rational behaviour and ignores the fact that both parties agreed to the implementation of the time limits which one party is now seeking to enforce. Here are some general rules.
