ABSTRACT

A copy of the Home Report, in its entirety, must be ready to be given to any potential buyer who asks for it by the person responsible for marketing a dwelling for sale in Scotland from 1 December 2008. The Home Report consists of the three parts set out as the Prescribed Documents in the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 (Prescribed Documents) Regulations 2008. They are the Single Survey, the Energy Report and the Property Questionnaire. The first two are prepared by persons registered with or authorised to practice by the RICS while the third is prepared by the seller or a person authorised by the seller to act on his behalf and the form it takes it set out in the next Section between pages 391 and 399.
