ABSTRACT
Once you have generated a PCR product it must often be cloned to provide a permanent source of the amplified DNA fragment(s) for future use. This chapter outlines methods for purifying PCR products prior to cloning or direct sequence analysis (Chapter 5) or for use as hybridization probes, and then describes strategies for cloning PCR products into appropriate vectors.
