ABSTRACT

As pointed out in the Preface, arbitration’s place in ADR is not free from controversy. The argument has been made, however, that arbitration has become one of the principal means of settlement of commercial disputes, especially in international trade. What that translates into is that the Caribbean region can no longer underplay the importance of arbitration.
