ABSTRACT

The Legal Services Commission (LSC) manages a Community Legal Service Fund and can make contracts with providers of all types of legal service, including solicitors and Citizens Advice Bureaux. Only providers who have received the Community Legal Service Quality Mark will be awarded contracts. The aim is to achieve access to justice by matching the delivery of legal services to identified needs and priorities. Money in the Fund can be used to pay for advice, assistance and representation in court, and can also cover other services such as mediation.
